Manufacturing Supervisor – B Shift
Lead from the shop floor. Run machines. Build a team.
At The Outdoor Group, our Manufacturing Supervisors don't spend their nights sitting behind a desk. As our B Shift continues to grow, we're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys being on the shop floor—running CNC machines, solving problems, helping others, and keeping production moving.
Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
This is a working supervisor position. You'll spend as much time running CNC machines as leading your team. If you're looking for a role where you lead from the shop floor—not behind a desk—you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support a small team of CNC machinists on B Shift.
- Serve as a working supervisor by actively setting up and operating CNC equipment alongside your team.
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues to keep work flowing efficiently.
- Read blueprints and verify part quality using precision measuring equipment.
- Train, coach, and develop team members while fostering a positive, accountable work environment.
- Prioritize production, monitor workflow, and help your team meet production goals.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve processes and solve manufacturing challenges.
- Promote a safe workplace while driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
- Experience setting up CNC machines, making tool offsets, and troubleshooting machining issues.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, lead-by-example approach.
Preferred:
- Previous experience leading, training, or supervising machinists.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement.
