Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their breakfast experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items including specialty drinks, spirits, wines, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Manage cash transactions accurately through POS systems and process sales transactions smoothly
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a welcoming environment
• Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage guest seating and waitlist efficiently while providing excellent guest relations

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant settings, preferably in fine dining or breakfast environments
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS for order processing and sales transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle inquiries professionally
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently including cocktails, spirits, wines, and specialty beverages
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy breakfast hours
• Experience with wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and spirits enhances guest experience
• Familiarity with reservation systems like OpenTable for efficient guest seating management
• Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and transaction accuracy
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential
