Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to ensure a smooth flow of service during busy hours
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all dining and kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces in accordance with sanitation standards
- Support kitchen staff with helping keep the kitchen line clean/taking out the trash
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including dishwashers and other small appliances
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure proper sanitation and hygiene standards are upheld at all times
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a restaurant setting
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards, including proper dishwashing techniques and food handling practices
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in fast-paced environments
