Core Responsibilities
- Trial preparation & logistics: Organize and schedule hearings, depositions, and court appearances; coordinate with attorneys, court staff, and other parties
- Document creation & filing: Draft, edit, and proofread pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence; file and track court documents
- Case management: Maintain detailed case files, track deadlines, and ensure all legal materials are ready for trial
- Evidence & witness support: Assist in gathering evidence, preparing witness lists, and taking depositions or mediations
Skills & Qualifications
- Legal knowledge: Understanding of civil/criminal litigation processes, court rules, and legal terminology
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail: Critical for accuracy in legal documents and case records.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for client and attorney interaction.
- Experience: 15 years in legal secretary or paralegal roles, with direct trial experience preferred
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
