We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Dietary Aide. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Support menu planning by providing input on meal options that cater to various dietary needs
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food handling and preparation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Participate in catering events, ensuring that all food is presented beautifully and served efficiently
- Utilize knife skills for food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepared to specification
- Provide excellent customer service while serving meals, addressing any dietary concerns or preferences
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is a plus
- Background in food service, including restaurant or catering experience, is highly desirable
- Culinary experience with a strong emphasis on cooking techniques and meal preparation
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is essential
- Experience working in a kitchen environment with an understanding of kitchen operations
