Welcome patients upon arrival, verify personal and insurance details, and direct them to appropriate areas within the office. - Scheduling Appointments:
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Ensure that the schedule is organized and balanced to avoid overbooking. - Handling Patient Records:
Manage patient registration and ensure all patient information is accurately entered into the electronic health record (EHR) or paper system. Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality are maintained according to HIPAA regulations. - Answering Phones and Emails:
Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner. Respond to patient inquiries, provide general medical office information, and communicate messages to the appropriate staff. - Billing and Payments:
Collect co-pays and other payments from patients. Maintain accurate records of payments and work with the billing department to address any issues with patient accounts. - Managing Office Supplies:
Ensure that office supplies are adequately stocked and reorder supplies as necessary. - Data Entry and Filing:
