We are seeking a talented Assistant Community Manager to join our dedicated team of Community Champions! This dynamic role provides key office support across all areas of property operations, including leasing, marketing, compliance, accounting, resident relations, and maintenance coordination. You will help drive occupancy and income goals while adhering to company policies and all applicable laws, including Fair Housing. Essential Functions Include but are not limited to:Collections • Assist with rent collection efforts to ensure timely payments in compliance with local laws, including supporting the eviction process when necessary. Resident Retention • Brainstorm and implement creative resident engagement initiatives to enhance satisfaction and minimize turnover. Resident Relations • As a frontline team member, maintain strong relationships with residents, prospects, vendors, and coworkers by communicating with professionalism and empathy. Occupancy Management • Support the scheduling and oversight of all make-ready processes to ensure apartments are prepared for timely occupancy. Leasing & Sales • Partner with the leasing team to meet and exceed occupancy expectations. • Oversee aspects of the lease renewal process, including documentation and resident communication. Floater Responsibilities • Provide leasing and administrative support across multiple properties as needed. Overall Support • Support the Community Manager with operational needs, including preparing the property budget. • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and recommend community improvement projects when appropriate.QualificationsExperience required. Minimum two (2) years of property management experience and one (1) year of leadership experience, or equivalent. Education. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Strong communicator. You build rapport easily and present well during tours and resident interactions. Numbers-driven. You understand the importance of accurate reporting and have a proven track record in supporting collections. Tech-savvy. Proficiency in basic computer applications and property management software such as Yardi. Ownership mentality. You’re a proactive, creative go-getter who helps wherever needed to meet community and company goals. Problem solver. You address resident and team concerns tactfully and quickly, never losing sight of the importance of exceptional customer service. Active role. Ability to walk units, climb stairs, post notices, lift/move items, and regularly tour the property. Flexible and adaptable. Comfortable shifting priorities and supporting additional responsibilities as community needs evolve.Work ConditionsMust be flexible, adaptable, and resilient. Strong communication and problem-solving skills required. Ability to travel between properties, support multiple teams, and navigate varying operational needs.
