Responsibilities
- Provide direct administrative and legal support to the Director.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Assist with case management, document organization, and maintaining electronic case files.
- Enter and maintain information within the organization's legal case management system
- Generate reports, track data, and assist with grant administration and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, and scheduling for the Director.
- Assist with legal research, document preparation, and administrative support for attorneys as needed.
- Organize and maintain confidential legal records and files.
- Communicate professionally with staff, clients, and external partners.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the legal department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Executive Assistant in a legal environment, Paralegal, or similar legal support role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new technology.
- Experience with legal case management system is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting litigation, legal operations, nonprofit organizations, or grant administration is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
