Responsibilities
- Manage client files from intake through resolution, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely case progression
- Support new client onboarding by conducting conflict checks, preparing engagement documentation, and coordinating intake materials
- Draft and prepare legal correspondence and case-related documents for clients, courts, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, ensuring all records and filings are up to date
- Coordinate attorney calendars, appointments, court dates, and critical litigation deadlines
- Organize discovery, medical records, exhibits, and case materials for hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in state and federal courts, including electronic filings
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, court personnel, and opposing counsel
- 1–3 years of legal assistant experience, preferably supporting Personal Injury and/or Workers' Compensation matters
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes and communicating with claims adjusters
- Ability to prepare medical evidence, exhibits, and trial notebooks
- Knowledge of court procedures, discovery processes, and filing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic file management systems
