This role owns the day-to-day administration of employee leave programs and benefits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience throughout the leave and benefits lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, state-specific leave laws, and company-provided leave policies
- Manage the end-to-end leave process: intake, eligibility determination, documentation, tracking, and return-to-work coordination
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees with leave and benefits questions, providing clear, empathetic guidance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave and benefits regulations
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of leave-related pay adjustments and deductions
- Maintain accurate records in HRIS and leave management systems
- Coordinate with third-party leave and disability administrators
- Support annual open enrollment processes and benefits communications
- Identify process improvements to streamline leave and benefits administration
- 2 years of experience administering leave of absence programs and employee benefits
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state leave law requirements
- Experience with HRIS and leave management platforms
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee situations with discretion and empathy
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience in a healthcare or healthcare technology company
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or CLMS certification
- Pay rate: $38 - $43/hour, commensurate with experience
