Job Overview
The Morrison Communities is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist to join our leadership team at The Morrison Skilled Nursing Facility.
The Morrison is a 57-bed nonprofit skilled nursing facility located in beautiful Whitefield, New Hampshire. We provide long-term care, rehabilitation, respite, and hospice services in a warm, home-like environment where residents and staff are known and valued.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who enjoys both clinical leadership and infection prevention and wants to have a meaningful impact on resident care, staff development, and the overall quality of our nursing services.
The Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist works closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary leadership team to support the day-to-day operation of the nursing department, promote high standards of resident care, and maintain an effective infection prevention and control program.
What We're Looking For
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire.
- Nursing leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Experience with infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of nursing practice, resident-centered care, and state and federal long-term care regulations.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Infection Prevention certification such as CIC is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, but not required.
- Current CPR certification.
