Cobol Developer

We are partnering with a well-established and growing financial services organization seeking an Application Developer to join a collaborative, high-performing team in West Des Moines.

• Support and maintain a core billing platform within a Property & Casualty environment
• Design, develop, and implement system enhancements and improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and system failures
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Help define business objectives, workflows, and deliverables aligned to system capabilities
• Provide ongoing production support and ensure system reliability and performance

• 1-5 years of experience in application development or systems support
  (Open to strong junior candidates with solid technical foundation)
• Experience with COBOL and working knowledge of DB2
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
• Excellent communication skills-able to work with both technical and non-technical teams
• Customer-first mentality with a focus on building strong internal relationships
• Experience working in Agile environments is a plus
