We are seeking a Licensing and Examinations Manager on a contract basis to provide strong support for the money transmission licensing and examination program. The ideal candidate should have experience in money transmission, managing Company and individual licenses, including compiling applications, submitting renewals, compiling and submitting regulatory reports, scheduling and running meetings, preparing materials, taking meeting minutes, and interacting with agencies and examiners. This role is hybrid in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities
Licensing Management
- File licensing documents, including applications, renewals, and required reporting
- Resolve action items in NMLS related to licenses
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect documentation for renewals and reports
- Facilitate timely payment of licensing fees
- Organize and maintain licensing documentation and records
- Manage state entity filings, including DBAs and director/officer changes (e.g., fingerprinting, notary appointments, attestations)
- Interact with regulators, responding to inquiries and providing requested information
- Monitor regulatory changes impacting licensing and update stakeholders accordingly
- Lead regulatory examinations related to money transmission licenses
- Prepare and deliver responses to regulators, compiling documentation from internal teams
- Review documents for accuracy, formatting, and compliance prior to submission
- Manage examination documentation, deadlines, and scheduling of meetings
- Update internal examination tracking systems and monitor open issues
- Collaborate with compliance and business teams to implement improvements based on findings
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum 5 years of professional experience required
- 3–5 years of experience in licensing and/or working in an in-house legal, risk, or compliance department
- 3-5 years of experience with company-level licensing in NMLS strongly preferred
- Experience with money transmission licensing is highly desirable
- Background in state and/or federal regulatory examinations and regulator interactions
- Proven ability to schedule, lead, and manage meetings with multiple stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent critical thinking, written, and verbal communication skills
- Track record of success working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments
