A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Assistant Marketing and Advertising Manager to help support their business needs.
This role will support the development and execution of a bold, creative, and customer-first marketing strategy for certified used vehicle initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams, partner agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders to implement integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with brand and creative strategy.

Responsibilities
- Drive day-to-day tactical execution for retail, CRM, and consumer site marketing workstreams
- Coordinate consumer website activities in partnership with the Digital Operations Specialist
- Collaborate with partner agencies to align creative and channel strategies
- Manage the development, production, and approval process for consumer marketing materials with creative agencies
- Liaise with internal marketing and social teams to leverage resources and comply with requirements and processes
- Develop expertise in the used vehicle market, including consumer behavior, product knowledge, and competitive analysis
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the used car strategy
- Support the creation and implementation of an integrated dealer retail strategy and associated materials
- Track media and production budgets with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist in developing initiatives that support overall team goals
- Maintain a positive, forward-thinking, and consumer-centric approach, challenging conventional thinking with innovative ideas
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years of experience in consumer marketing or advertising
- Brand marketing experience is highly valuable for this role
- Strong proficiency in the MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Workfront experience is a plus (training available internally)
- Jira proficiency is preferred for site-related responsibilities
- Site management experience helpful; technical aspects handled by agency (no specialized technical knowledge required)
- On-the-job learning is expected and supported, with training available for tools and processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project management skills
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on consumer engagement and brand growth
- Strong analytical skills to interpret site and marketing metrics and present actionable insights
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and take initiative to drive results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to internal and external audiences
- Advertising/marketing agency experience preferred, but not required
- Automotive industry experience is a plus
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid Role - 2 days in Warren, 1 day in Birmingham, MI, and 2 days WFH/week
