Trust Relationship Officer
$155K Base 12% Bonus
(Hybrid Schedule | Fridays Remote)
We are partnering with a growing boutique fiduciary and wealth management firm seeking an experienced Senior Trust Officer to join their. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role focused on trust and estate administration, fiduciary oversight, and relationship management.
This opportunity is ideal for a trust professional who enjoys working directly with clients, attorneys, advisors, and multi-generational families while handling complex trust and estate matters in a high-touch environment.
One of the biggest differentiators in this role is the dedicated Trust Administrator support structure, allowing Senior Trust Officers to stay focused on client relationships, fiduciary guidance, and complex decision-making rather than heavy administrative processing.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of trust and estate accounts
- Administer trusts in accordance with governing documents, fiduciary standards, and regulatory requirements
- Manage trust accounts from onboarding through ongoing administration and account closing
- Interpret trust documents and apply fiduciary principles accurately
- Coordinate distributions, annual account reviews, fee processing, and trust maintenance activities
- Partner closely with attorneys, financial advisors, accountants, and family members
- Assist with estate settlement and probate-related workflows
- Navigate fiduciary taxation matters and coordinate with tax professionals when needed
- Handle audits, reconciliations, and regulatory inquiries
- Identify risks proactively and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Deliver a high-touch client experience with professionalism, empathy, and strong communication
What We’re Looking For
- 7 years of trust administration and fiduciary experience
- Strong experience with trust and estate settlement processes
- Deep understanding of fiduciary principles and trust operations
- Experience administering accounts end-to-end
- Ability to interpret trust documents and manage complex fiduciary situations
- Familiarity with probate processes and estate administration workflows
- Working knowledge of estate-related tax considerations
- Experience handling audits, reconciliations, and regulatory matters
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Proficiency with trust accounting and administration systems
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- CTFA designation preferred
- JD or CPA is a plus
