Manufacturing Engineering Director
West Point, MS | In-Person | $140,000 - $165,000 /yr | Full-Time
A well established and growing aerospace and defense manufacturer with a team that cares about their people is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead their Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Configuration Management functions.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Configuration Management teams
- Translate program requirements into manufacturing plans that meet cost, quality, schedule, and compliance goals
- Serve as the primary engineering interface to Program Management
- Lead engineering execution for New Product Introduction (NPI), including gate reviews and production readiness
- Drive tooling, automation, and process improvement initiatives
- Own configuration management, change control, and audit support
- Mentor and develop engineering leaders and technical staff
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace, or related)
- 12 years progressive experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
- Proven leadership managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, FAI, and configuration management
- Track record leading NPI and manufacturing process improvements
Preferred:
- Master's degree or MBA
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Automation/robotics experience
- Defense program experience
