Position Title: Barista
Reports To: Store Manager
Compensation: Up to $20.00/hr (Base Tips)

What You Will Do
- Customer Experience: Greet every guest with a smile and handle their needs—whether it’s coffee, tea, retail, or bar service—making them feel truly appreciated.
- Quality Consistency: Prepare every product to The Mill’s high standards. You take pride in handing off a perfect drink every time.
- Reliability: Show up on time, ready to go. You communicate availability clearly and follow proper call-out procedures when life happens.
- Teamwork: Adapt to changing circumstances (it gets busy!) and encourage your coworkers. We learn and grow together.
- Operations: You will "own" the cafe. The team works hard to keep it clean and presentable. You will stand, walk, and be active for shifts up to 8 hours (with recharge breaks, of course).

- Qualified: You have strong verbal English proficiency (other languages are a plus!) and the ability to view things from near and far distances.
- Certified: You possess (or can obtain) a valid County Food Handler Permit.

The Fine Print
- Schedule: Typical hours are between 6am – 11pm. You must work at least 3 shifts per week, including weekends and evenings to maintain consistency.
- Training: You must complete and pass all knowledge tests and certifications to meet The Mill’s standards.
- Compensation Detail: Up to $20.00 per hour. This number represents a base wage plus an average tip rate of $11.00 per hour. Actual tips vary by location, shift, and service quality.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
