Job Summary:
As a Front of House (FOH) Support team member, you are the face of our coffee shop, crucial for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your primary role is to ensure the dining area is clean and organized, support the baristas and kitchen staff, and guarantee every guest has a pleasant and efficient experience from the moment they walk in until they leave.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greeting customers warmly, anticipating their needs, and thanking them as they leave.
- Cafe Maintenance and Cleanliness: Maintaining cleanliness in guest areas, clearing tables, stocking stations, and assisting with cleaning tasks.
- Operational Support: Assisting baristas with restocking food, collaborating with other staff, and communicating supply or equipment issues to management.
- Compliance: Upholding sanitary practices and complying with health and safety regulations.
- Follows schedules and is compliant with daily/weekly/monthly checklists to complete all duties.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Understands & upholds The Mill's mission statement & guiding principles. Complies with all of The Mill's policies and procedures.
- Customer service experience is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong organizational skills is important.
- Physical stamina for standing and performing tasks like lifting and cleaning is needed.
- Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Food Handlers permit.
