Position: Part-Time Kitchen StaffEmployment Status: Part-Time, Academic Year, TemporaryState Date: ASAPHourly Rate: $16.00 per hour, maximum 29 hours per weekReports To: Culinary DirectorPosition Overview: The Kitchen Staff supports the Culinary department by helping to prepare and serve quality meals to students and staff as well as by maintaining a clean and safe food service environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure the food preparation areas are clean and hygienicPossess a commitment to safe food handling proceduresWear proper attire while on duty ie. closed toe and heel, non-skid shoes, clean apron asneeded, hair net to be worn at all times during the kitchen shiftAssist in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and mealtimesSet up the satellite sites before mealtimes Serve breakfast and lunchBasic food preparations such as chopping, peeling, etc.Clean the kitchen Ability to drive to satellite campusPhysically able to lift up to 40 lbsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GEDServSafe certification (will provide training) Must be able to positively interact with students and staff dailyMust be alcohol & drug-free with a Background Criminal Investigation (BCI)Must be able to take and read directionsMust be able to stand on your feet for several hoursPositive and team playerPreferred Qualifications & Skills: Kitchen/ Restaurant/ Culinary experience preferred
