Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
- Oversee food safety management practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance culinary skills, customer service, and operational efficiency
- Line cooking and prep cooking
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster a motivated and skilled team
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or quick service environments
- Proven ability in inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising teams, staff training, interviewing candidates, and managing hospitality teams
- Solid understanding of restaurant management principles such as budgeting, profit & loss analysis, shift management, and food production
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective managerial communication to ensure guest satisfaction
- Experience with catering or banquet operations is a plus; familiarity with bar service is advantageous
