Earning Potential & Production Opportunity

This position is designed for a dentist who wants their earning potential to grow with their clinical productivity.

The practice has an established patient base and meaningful opportunities for both hygiene examinations and restorative/comprehensive treatment. Current provider activity demonstrates approximately 160–190 patient visits per month for established providers, with approximately 120–150 examinations per month, although actual volume varies by provider, schedule, and treatment mix.

A provider's daily schedule may include a combination of hygiene checks, new-patient examinations, restorative appointments, emergencies, and comprehensive treatment.

As a general benchmark:

  • Developing/New Associate: Production is expected to build progressively as the dentist becomes familiar with the practice, develops patient relationships, and increases clinical efficiency.
  • Established Associate: Approximately $4,000–$5,000 in gross production per clinical day can be a realistic target for a productive provider with a developed patient schedule.
  • Strong Producer: Providers with a full schedule, strong treatment acceptance, efficient clinical workflows, and broad clinical capabilities may achieve $5,000–$6,000 production days.

For perspective, the current compensation model indicates that reaching approximately $250,000, $300,000, and $350,000 in annual compensation requires progressively higher production levels. Depending on whether the dentist works 4 or 5 clinical days per week, these goals generally correspond to approximately:

  • $250,000 compensation: ~$3,650–$4,570 gross production/day
  • $300,000 compensation: ~$4,390–$5,480 gross production/day
  • $350,000 compensation: ~$5,120–$6,400 gross production/day

These figures are illustrative production benchmarks, not guaranteed income levels. Actual compensation will vary based on adjustments, laboratory expenses, clinical schedule, treatment mix, patient volume, treatment acceptance, and individual productivity.

The practice has historical examples of associates producing at levels supporting approximately $250,000–$300,000 in annual compensation, demonstrating that the higher end of the opportunity is attainable for the right provider.

Patient & Clinical Mix

The associate will have the opportunity to work with an established patient population and a varied general dentistry schedule.

Typical clinical activities may include:

  • Hygiene checks and periodic examinations
  • New-patient examinations
  • Comprehensive treatment planning
  • Restorative dentistry
  • Crowns and indirect restorations
  • Emergency dentistry
  • Extractions
  • Endodontic treatment
  • Implant-related treatment
  • Comprehensive restorative cases
  • Preventive and diagnostic dentistry

The practice is interested in dentists who want to diagnose comprehensively, communicate effectively with patients, and provide quality treatment, rather than focusing solely on the number of patients seen each day.

Patient volume will vary according to appointment length and treatment mix. A provider completing larger restorative or comprehensive cases may appropriately see fewer patients than a provider whose schedule consists primarily of shorter appointments.

Clinical Development

The practice recognizes that every dentist enters with a different level of experience.

New graduates will have the opportunity to develop their speed, confidence, treatment-planning skills, and clinical scope over time. Experienced dentists can step into an established patient flow while continuing to expand their capabilities.

Factors that can contribute to faster production growth include:

  • Strong clinical fundamentals
  • Efficient treatment completion
  • Comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Excellent patient communication
  • Strong treatment acceptance
  • Ability to build patient relationships
  • Willingness to provide multiple services
  • Openness to mentorship and continued learning
  • Interest in expanding clinical scope

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
  • Eligible for dental licensure in Wisconsin
  • Current CPR/BLS certification or eligibility
  • Comfortable practicing comprehensive general dentistry
  • Strong interest in patient-centered care and long-term relationships
  • Willingness to perform or develop skills in oral surgery, endodontics, and implant dentistry preferred
  • Motivated to build clinical skills and production over time

New graduates and experienced dentists are encouraged to apply. Mentorship and clinical support are available based on the associate's individual experience and development needs.
