Data Operations and Reporting Analyst
The Marketing Data & Operations Specialist supports accurate performance reporting and day‑to‑day execution of paid social campaigns at The Matchbox. This role is for someone who is comfortable living in ad platforms and spreadsheets, and who can reliably turn raw data into clean reports and precise in‑platform changes.
You will work closely with Account Managers and media leads to pull data, build recurring reports, QA campaign setups, and keep campaigns pacing correctly across channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting & Data Pulls
- Build and maintain recurring performance reports (weekly, monthly, campaign‑level) using data from paid social platforms and analytics tools.
- Pull, clean, and validate data (spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, CPA/ROAS, etc.) for internal and client use.
- Update reporting templates and dashboards; maintain consistency in metrics and definitions across clients.
Campaign Setup & Maintenance (Paid Social)
- Assist with campaign, ad set, and ad creation across paid social platforms (Meta required; others such as TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit a plus).
- Apply correct naming conventions, budgets, bids, audiences, placements, and tracking parameters during setup.
- Monitor daily pacing, delivery, and flags (disapprovals, tracking issues, unexpected performance changes) and execute routine adjustments within defined guidelines.
QA, Tracking & Operations
- Perform pre‑launch and post‑launch QA checks to confirm targeting, budgets, tracking, and creative are correct.
- Help ensure pixels, tags, and UTM parameters are correctly implemented and consistently applied.
- Maintain documentation for accounts (structures, naming, reporting views) and support process improvements in reporting and operations.
Analysis Support
- Run ad‑hoc pulls and simple breakdowns (by audience, creative, placement, device, etc.) to answer specific performance questions.
- Highlight notable trends, anomalies, or issues in performance for AMs and media leads to review.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- 1–2 years of experience in digital marketing or paid media operations (agency experience preferred).
- Direct platform experience with Meta Ads Manager; exposure to at least one additional paid social platform.
- Strong proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, including filters, pivot tables, and basic formulas.
- Experience building or maintaining performance reports.
- High attention to detail when working with budgets, naming, and tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and reporting cadences at once.
- Clear written communication, especially when summarizing performance for internal stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience in a digital marketing agency environment supporting multiple clients.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and standard performance metrics.
- Exposure to BI or dashboard tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
- Basic understanding of pixels, conversion tracking, and UTMs.
