Role Overview:
We are seeking a technically minded, data-driven Technical Business Analyst to support the build out of origination data pipelines and reporting capabilities for a Financial Institutions Group within a leading alternative asset manager.
This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, data engineering, and analytics. The consultant will partner directly with senior leadership and work closely with developers and project managers to transform origination data into scalable pipelines, actionable insights, and streamlined workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the Head of the Financial Institutions Group, supporting strategic and technical initiatives tied to origination data and reporting.
- Collaborate daily with developers, data engineers, and project managers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and data products.
- Ingest, structure, and analyze large datasets from origination platforms and desk workflows to identify insights and process improvement opportunities.
- Support the design and implementation of data pipelines and reporting workflows using Snowflake, Sigma, and Power BI.
- Document business requirements, data definitions, and workflow logic to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams—facilitating communication, prioritization, and delivery velocity.
- Contribute to process automation and reporting enhancements that improve transparency across the origination lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong technical aptitude with demonstrated experience working with data (SQL, data analysis, reporting, or data pipelines).
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications or data solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable navigating large, complex datasets and ambiguous problem spaces.
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset with strong ownership and learning agility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial services, ideally within asset management, private credit, or alternative investments.
- Exposure to origination, deal pipeline, or investment lifecycle processes.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Sigma, Power BI, or similar analytics/reporting platforms.
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT concepts, or data warehousing environments.
- Background at leading firms such as BlackRock, Blackstone, KKR, or similar institutions.
**The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000**
