Overview
The Commercialization Project Management Organization plays a crucial role in food companies, bridging the gap between product development, business objectives, and operational excellence. The Program Manager level will focus primarily on the Foodservice or Retail business and will be pivotal in threading the business strategy over multiple projects. Program managers will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the commercialization process, while also driving strategic conversations for an overall business program.

Responsibilities
- Project & Program Management
- Lead cross functional teams (including RD, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering) through the commercialization process. Project drivers could be any of the following: new product development, business maintenance, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and SKU rationalization.
- Develop and maintain timelines that involve the integration of multiple projects into one timeline.
- Develop and manage complex risk assessments with the cross functional team (including RD, Engineering, Ops, Supply Chain, Marketing), ensuring adequate mitigation plans and appropriate stakeholder communication.
- Create symbiotic relationships with Engineering and Supply PMO to effectively manage crossover projects together.
- Maintain project documentation/ software to ensure all aspects of a project are organized and up to date.
- Facilitate the set-up of all commercialization master data, working with Master Data Management, RD, Procurement, Finance, and Sales
- Stage Gate SME
- Guide of the stage gate process for the business in project team meetings inclusive of ensuring appropriate documentation.
- Facilitate Stage Gate meeting by preparing pre-read, leading the meeting and preparing decisions.
- Lead Stage Gate trainings for cross functional team members.
- Strategic Mindset
- Drives business strategy across multiple linked projects
- Responsible for effectively communicating risks and tradeoffs to leadership
- People manager
- May have direct report(s).
- Portfolio Management Contributor
- Assists in facilitation of the portfolio management review meeting
- Responsible for content creation in the portfolio management review meeting pertaining to assigned programs
- Process Improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP certification a plus but not required.
- Minimum 5 years Project Management experience.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading teams.
- Prior experience working in Consumer Product Goods (CPG) company.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft project and Visio.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- May have direct reports.
Working Conditions/Environment
Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required.
