Where You Come In
Summit Stairs & Millwork is expanding and we are hiring a Driver / Loader for our Charleston, SC location. This role is responsible for safely transporting stair systems and millwork products to customer job sites while supporting loading and unloading operations at the facility and in the field. The Driver / Loader plays a key role in ensuring deliveries are accurate, on time, and handled with the professionalism our customers expect.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues or defects

• Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards

• Maintain accurate fuel receipt records for monthly audits

• Load and unload stair and millwork products and verify orders against work tickets

• Report overages, shortages, or damages accurately and promptly

• Provide proof-of-delivery documentation and photos as required

• Deliver orders on schedule while ensuring products arrive in good condition

• Represent Summit professionally with customers, builders, and job site personnel

• Communicate customer feedback or delivery concerns to leadership

What You’ll Bring

• Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

• DOT certification is a plus

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Ability to safely operate box trucks up to 20 feet in length

• Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks, ramps, and related loading equipment

• Ability to team lift heavy materials (up to approximately 200 lbs)

• Comfortable with physical work including climbing, kneeling, and crawling when required

• Strong visual awareness including depth perception and spatial awareness

• Personal mobile phone for GPS navigation and communication

• ASTM F2413-24 compliant safety toe footwear.

Pay & Schedule

• Full-time position based in Charleston, SC

• Monday – Friday schedule with occasional overtime as needed

• $19-$21 an hour
