Duties

• Prepare and execute a variety of baked goods, including breads, muffins, croissants, cakes, and pastries with attention to detail and presentation.
• Develop innovative pastry recipes and ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance.
• Assist in food preparation for breakfast service, including cooking eggs, breakfast meats, and other hot items with efficiency and precision.
• Responsible for high teas that are an important staple to the business, including all baked items for the events.
• Manage food handling procedures adhering strictly to food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
• Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes while maintaining quality standards.
• Support high-volume production during busy mornings by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of all breakfast offerings while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pastry arts, baking, or culinary roles within a food industry setting; restaurant or catering experience highly preferred.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques specific to baked goods and breakfast dishes.
• Demonstrated ability in desert decorating and food presentation with an eye for detail.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience working in high-volume production environments with excellent time management skills.
• Familiarity with packaging processes for baked goods and food products.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
