MSG is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer or Landscape to join our Civil Engineering team in Cincinnati, OH. Projects could include site design for commercial and residential projects; design of parks & recreation facilities, designs for municipal facilities such as streetscapes, parking facilities, and municipal buildings in urban, suburban, and rural environments.


Key Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers on design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, residential, energy and community projects throughout the Midwest.
• Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including: Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, MEP, Site Construction, etc.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and present design solutions
• Contribute to proposal writing and project marketing efforts, as needed
• Conduct site analysis, research local codes, and assist in project permitting
• Assist in the design and development of site plans, landscape plans, grading plans and illustrative graphics for parks, streetscapes, trail systems, civic spaces, and commercial developments
• Support all phases of project development, including conceptual design, construction documentation, and project administration.
  
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelors or higher in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineer (preferred)
• At least 5 years of related experience
• EIT required for engineering applications or PLA[CO1] [KW2] licensure in the state of Ohio required. Ability to obtain PE/PLA within 1 year of hire.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, LandFX, Adobe suite, SketchUp or other modeling programs required.
• Experience in design and plan preparations.
• Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills
