The Landscape Designer will assist in the design and production of landscape architecture projects, collaborating closely with internal and external teams. The Landscape Designer will assist in the design and production of landscape architecture projects, collaborating closely with internal and external teams. This role involves developing design concepts, preparing construction documents, and participating in client meetings and site visits. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, interior design, MEP, civil and structural engineering, urban planning, and sustainability.
- Assist in the preparation of design studies, narratives, calculations, and construction documents.
- Ensure technical accuracy, code compliance, and constructability of design solutions.
- Participate in value engineering, client discussions, and project meetings.
- Support field investigations and construction site observations as needed.
- Produce deliverables that meet KZF’s quality standards and client expectations.
- Manage multiple assignments and prioritize project needs effectively.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in landscape design or architecture.
- Strong analytical, planning, and design skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling/rendering tools.
- Experience developing landscape design plans and construction documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to become licensed as a Landscape Architect in the State of Ohio.
- LEED AP or other sustainability credentials.
- Active participation in professional organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture.
