Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.
Duties
- Monitor premises through regular patrols to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
- Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and grounds to identify security risks or breaches.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any relevant observations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations related to loss prevention or security breaches.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a security role, military service, or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be physically fit to perform duties that may require standing for extended periods or responding quickly in emergencies.
- Must have an operational reliable vehicle
- Must have a smart phone capable of scanning NFC chips and utilizing location based services
- Must be on time to shifts starting at 6am to 6pm or overnight shifts from 6pm to 6am.
- We are currently filling 2 non-commission Level 2 posts for this location.
