Position Overview

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, you will provide professional massage therapy services tailored to each guest's individual needs and wellness goals. Through expert consultation, therapeutic techniques, and exceptional customer care, you'll help create a relaxing and restorative experience that exceeds guest expectations.

What You'll Do

Guest Consultation & Care

• Welcome guests and conduct thorough consultations regarding health history, concerns, and treatment goals
• Assess guests' physical condition and recommend appropriate massage techniques and treatments
• Develop personalized treatment plans to meet individual wellness needs
• Educate guests on treatment benefits, wellness practices, and recommended products

Massage Therapy Services

• Perform a variety of massage modalities, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, and other approved spa treatments
• Learn and perform The Spa's signature massage protocols
• Utilize massage oils, lotions, creams, and therapeutic products appropriately
• Adapt treatment techniques based on guest preferences and contraindications
• Ensure guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout each service

Spa Operations

• Maintain treatment rooms and equipment according to cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Sanitize and disinfect equipment and treatment areas between appointments
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of treatment supplies and guest amenities
• Recommend retail products that support guests' wellness goals
• Assist guests with spa amenities and facility questions
• Follow appointment scheduling, cash handling, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with fellow therapists, spa staff, and resort leadership to create an exceptional guest experience

What We're Looking For

• Current Missouri Massage Therapy License required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous resort, spa, wellness, or massage therapy experience preferred
• Knowledge of multiple massage modalities and therapeutic techniques
• Excellent guest service and communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced spa environment
• Experience with appointment scheduling and cash handling preferred
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as business needs require
• Hepatitis A vaccination required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout the workday
• Frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and upper body strength to perform massage services
• Ability to assist and guide guests when necessary
• Ability to lift, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with massage therapy
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
