Your Role as a Director of Nursing (DON):
- Lead, plan, and oversee daily operations of the nursing department
- Supervise nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Monitor quality of care and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of nursing staff
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
- Maintain regulatory readiness and lead state survey processes
- Foster a positive, supportive, and accountable care environment
What We're Looking For:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of 5 years of long-term care nursing experience, including leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical standards
- Proven leadership, decision-making, and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Compassionate, resident-focused leadership approach
