Job Summary
We are a fast paced cafe serving sandwiches, breakfast items and specialty beverages and we are looking fora hands-on Cafe Manger to oversee daily operations, lead our team, and ensure outstanding guest experiences.
Duties
- Lead and supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to maintain high performance standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
- Handle POS systems such as Squre POS for order processing and cash handling
- Control inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and coordinate food ordering to minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in kitchen and dining areas
- Train staff on food handling, customer service excellence, and operational procedures
- Manage budgets, monitor sales performance, and implement strategies to maximize profitability
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and growth
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a quick service or fast food restaurant, casual dining, or café environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems such Square for efficient transaction processing
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training and development responsibilities
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and food safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively
- Experience in budgeting, food management, and restaurant management practices
- Previous hospitality management or hotel experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
