Job Summary
The Local on Pensacola Beach is seeking passionate and customer-oriented Baristas/Cashiers to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking their orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and other products.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while delivering excellent service to customers.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Requirements
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions are essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to help customers effectively.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial.
- Must possess good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
