The Role
This position is central to the structural design and verification of connection details, frame profiles, and full-scale containment configurations for data center applications. The successful candidate will apply advanced engineering principles to deliver safe, efficient, and code-compliant designs, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of mission-critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and perform structural validation for system components, including frame profiles and connection details.
- Produce detailed technical reports, engineering drawings, and supporting documentation for design decisions.
- Conduct structural analysis and simulate seismic and other load conditions using tools such as ANSYS, RISA, and IDEA StatiCa.
- Perform accurate load and stress calculations in accordance with applicable building codes and standards.
- Select and specify construction materials based on structural requirements, durability, and compliance.
- Provide clear and precise technical guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with planning and building regulations by preparing and submitting all necessary documentation.
- Liaise effectively with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure cohesive project execution.
What You'll Bring
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A valid Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or international equivalent.
- Proven experience in structural engineering, ideally within the construction or building products industry.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software, including ANSYS, RISA, and IDEA StatiCa.
- A strong understanding of seismic design principles and simulation methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and their practical application.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality calculation reports and construction documents.
