What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Staff position at The Learning Center - Longview, TX?
The Learning Center is a Christian-based daycare that offers children opportunities to play, learn, and grow while learning to socially engage and develop fundamental skills and knowledge. TLC is dedicated to helping children discover their individuality and encourage self-expression.
We are looking for a Daycare Classroom Aide to assist 2 PM-5:30 PM. Pay rate is contingent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities
- Follow a schedule of teaching plans
- Provide basic caregiving activities
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, hands-on activities, indoor/outdoor games, drawing, etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
- Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action
- Collaborate with other colleagues
- Adhere to standards and safety regulations as established by The Learning Center
Required Skills
- Must be willing to be CPR certified, if not already
- Must pass background check
- Patience, flexibility, and love for children
- Strong communication and time management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility preferred
Pay: From $9.50 per hour
