Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Forklift Operator to join our Shipping & Receiving team.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load and unload materials.
- Perform order picking using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning.
- Support the implementation of warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and orders.
Qualifications
- Safety and quality focused.
- Must be dependable.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision required.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials handling.
- A minimum of 1 year or prior forklift experience required.
- Familiarity with forklifts is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
