Job Description

UBA Law Firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in immigration litigation and court proceedings. The ideal candidate will have strong advocacy and communication skills and the ability to prepare complex immigration cases, represent clients in court, and work collaboratively with the legal team.

Responsibilities

· Represent clients at Master Calendar and Individual Hearings before Immigration Court.

· Analyze, prepare, and review immigration case submissions, including Adjustment of Status, Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, and SIJ matters.

· Prepare case strategies, supporting evidence, and legal documents for immigration court proceedings.

· Meet internal deadlines established by the Project Management Team to ensure timely completion of external filings.

· Review and supervise weekly and monthly paralegal assignments and monitor case progress.

· Communicate case status, deadlines, and issues to clients and the supervising team as appropriate.

· Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate, timely, and effective case preparation.

Qualifications & Skills

· At least 3 years of experience in immigration law and litigation preferred.

· Active membership in a State Bar; New York Bar membership preferred.

· Strong courtroom advocacy, legal analysis, and case preparation skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage a demanding caseload, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and paralegals.
