What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Cleaner position at The Larimore Wedding Venue?
We are busy wedding venue, delivering 120 weddings a year. We are looking for someone who can work full time to ensure the overall cleanliness of the venue, and prepare the space for the weddings. There is a Honeymoon Suite on site that allows for the bride and groom to stay overnight on the night of their wedding. This job entails flipping this room and linens.
It is a very weekend heavy role, and each week will have a different schedule. The schedule will be determined by the General Manager 3-4 weeks in advance. This is a full time, at location position.
The job duties include:
- Ensures the venue remains overall clean, sanitary and free of all trash, dust, debris, and spills at all times.
- Works with the General Manager to establish cleaning schedules and cleaning checklists
- Develop and implement cleaning protocols, schedules, and procedures to ensure all areas of the venue are consistently cleaned and maintained to the highest standards
- Reports to the Facilities Manager any repairs or fixes that need to be made throughout the venue.
Clean and maintain all areas of the property including:
- Event spaces (indoor and outdoor)
- Restrooms
- Common areas
- Guest lodge rooms
- Prep kitchen and staff areas
- Conduct post-event cleaning and venue “flip” to prepare spaces for the next scheduled event or guest check-in, including furniture resetting, floor cleaning, linen changes, and trash removal.
- Maintain a well-organized inventory of cleaning tools and supplies; restock as needed and report low inventory or supply issues to management.
- Handle laundering of all in-house linens, towels, and fabrics—either through on-site laundry or coordination with an outsourced provider - ensuring timely turnaround and quality control.
- Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning products and procedures to protect the venue, staff, and guests.
Conduct regular deep cleaning tasks such as:
- Floor and carpet shampooing
- Window and mirror polishing
- High-touch surface disinfection
- Kitchen sanitizing and degreasing
- Fixture and furniture polishing
- Assist with light setup or breakdown support when needed during event transitions.
Pay: $20,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
