The Role:
We are looking for a System Operations Coordinator to join our team! Operations Coordinators work from our Fort Collins Business Support location/our local bus depot location and are responsible for the round-the-clock dispatch of our drivers and monitoring of our vehicles in Colorado, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Illinois and the larger Toronto region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with rotating on-call Manager-On-Duty functions with SOC Manager, involving rotating availability in case of emergencies
- Functions as Manager-On-Duty for weekend operations, as well as the SOC Manager’s alternate, when necessary
- Assists with emergency coverage for SOC, as needed
- General supervision including, but not limited to, holding Operational Control for Landline operations, SOC agent scheduling, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) Commander responsibilities
- Assists with coaching/developing SOC team members
- Creating and executing new policies/procedures
- Assists with planning all regions’ vehicle usage for upcoming operations, including regular scheduled and non-scheduled operations, with special consideration to planning around charters, planned vehicle maintenance, and necessary swaps
- Updating/Auditing Samsara as needed with new trips, schedule changes, and route additions
- Provides vehicle maintenance updates regularly to SOC and relevant operational managers, detailing the current status and planned maintenance for each vehicle in each region
- Routinely monitors HOS for drivers, with emphasis on impacts due to schedule changes
- ·Audits all Landline passenger inventory allocations, ensuring appropriate vehicle types are scheduled as needed
- Collaborate with other departments such as HR, Finance, Commercial, etc., to streamline operations
- Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication among drivers and operational staff
- Provide support and guidance to the operations team
- Assistance with other operational projects, as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required
- 4 years of previous management experience preferred
- Previous experience in ground transportation preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and criminal background screen
