Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring ingredients - Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation - Prepare food items according to established standards and recipes - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment - Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation - Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations - Assist with menu planning and suggest creative ideas for new dishes Requirements: - Previous experience working in a kitchen or food preparation setting is preferred - Knowledge of food safety guidelines and proper food handling techniques - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Preferred Skills: - Culinary training or certification is a plus - Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation is beneficial We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for growth within the food industry.
