Position Overview
We’re looking for a leader — not just a manager — to help shape the heart of our clinical program at The Lakes in Lakeland, Florida. This person will guide, mentor, and build a team that delivers compassionate, evidence-based care. You’ll help steer the ship — overseeing staff, refining programs, and ensuring every client receives treatment that actually makes a difference.
This role blends big-picture strategy with daily connection. You’ll be part administrator, part coach, part innovator — driving excellence while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and care that feels real.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct all aspects of client care.
- Provide direct supervision and support to clinical staff.
- Lead interdisciplinary treatment planning and facilitate team meetings.
- Hold regular one-on-one check-ins with staff to support their growth and performance.
- Ensure departmental operations run smoothly and align with other teams across the organization.
- Cultivate a positive, collaborative team dynamic.
- Contribute to company growth through strategic planning and program development.
- Partner with the Compliance Department to uphold Joint Commission standards.
- Maintain systems of checks and balances — ensuring policies and procedures are followed with integrity.
- Foster open, effective communication with clients, families, staff, and community partners.
- Organize and facilitate in-service trainings as needed.
- Be available for on-call duties when necessary.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree, Ph.D., or PsyD in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Independent licensure in good standing with the Florida Board of Behavioral Health (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent).
- Proven leadership and management experience in a clinical setting.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong grasp of clinical best practices and team leadership.
- Ability to interpret and apply behavioral health regulations, policies, and data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication — from reports to presentations.
- Confident decision-making and problem-solving under pressure.
- Proficiency with EHR systems, spreadsheets, and standard office software.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Capability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Adequate sensory and motor skills to perform client assessments.
- Clear vision and hearing for documentation and client interaction.
