The Keller Group is partnering with a nationally recognized leader in air medical transportation to identify a Buyer/Planner II – Aviation to join their team in Tempe, AZ. In this role, you'll manage the procurement and planning of aircraft parts and materials, working closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and maintenance teams to ensure critical components are available when needed. What the role involves
- Managing the procurement and planning of aircraft parts, repairs, exchanges, and rentals to support maintenance operations
- Utilizing ERP systems and planning data to determine material requirements and purchasing priorities
- Issuing purchase orders, repair orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical materials
- Prioritizing orders based on operational needs, including expedited and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations
- Managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and resolving warranty, quality, and delivery issues
- Supporting inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, investigations, and material audits
- Reviewing invoices and resolving purchasing and supplier discrepancies
- Ensuring all aircraft parts meet FAA and regulatory documentation requirements
- Participating in contract administration and supporting supplier negotiations when needed
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes, supplier performance, and operational efficiency
- Promoting a strong culture of safety while supporting safety initiatives
What our client is looking for
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree with 3 years of purchasing, planning, or supply chain experience preferred, or 5 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience managing a purchasing portfolio within a complex, multi-functional organization
- Background in aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, contracts, and cost analysis
- Experience using ERP systems for purchasing and inventory planning
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting operationally critical timelines
- Experience working with regulatory compliance and documentation requirements is a plus
