Our Phoenix based client is a proven leader in their industry and is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to work directly with and support the Controller. The company is looking for a sharp, experienced Senior Accountant to join their team and have oversight over the daily activities of the accounting department as well as responsibility of the general ledger and close processes.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the month-end close process to ensure accuracy and time schedules are met
- Review and analyze general ledger activity; identify root cause, correct transaction errors
- Prepare and oversee the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and subsidiary ledgers
- Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support
- Help in preparation of financial reporting, budgeting, and projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3 years of full cycle accounting required
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills
