Our client is currently seeking a RN – ICU (12‑hr, Nights)
Location: Lafayette, LA
Shift: Nights (12‑hour shifts)
This is an urgent need due to a clinician withdrawing during onboarding. The ICU RN will provide high‑quality, evidence‑based critical care to acutely ill patients while serving as a clinical leader within the multidisciplinary team. The role requires strong critical thinking, independence, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities

This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill ICU patients using the Nursing Process
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitoring, and evaluation of clinical status
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage complex medical equipment
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
- Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and ancillary staff
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition
- Support patient safety, privacy, and quality outcomes at all times
Education and/or Certification Requirement
- Registered Nurse (RN) – active license in the state of practice
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (All certifications must be uploaded at submission)
- ICU or critical care nursing experience required
- Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑acuity environments with minimal supervision
- Ability to function as a clinical leader on shift
- Experience delegating and directing care team members preferred
- Accountability for quality patient outcomes
- Compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Adherence to facility compliance and privacy programs
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a high‑stress ICU setting
- CPI not required (documentation stating CPI is not required must be uploaded at submission)
- Ability to meet physical demands of ICU nursing
- Willingness to work night shifts
Salary : $1,966 - $1,967
