Position Title: Process Coordinator / Case Manager – Special Education
Position Summary
We are seeking qualified Special Education Process Coordinators/Case Managers to support and oversee special education processes in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role is responsible for coordinating referrals, evaluations, eligibility determinations, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, compliance monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate educational services and supports.
This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with special education requirements while promoting positive outcomes for students with disabilities. Depending on organizational needs, individuals in this role may also serve in comparable capacities such as Academic Evaluator, Case Manager, Teacher of Record, or Special Education Teacher.
Work arrangements and service delivery models will be determined based on program needs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid teaching certificate, special education license, or eligibility to obtain appropriate certification/endorsement.
- Knowledge of:
- Special education laws and regulations.
- Procedural safeguards.
- Evaluation and eligibility determination processes.
- IEP development and implementation.
- Experience utilizing assistive technology and multimedia tools to support diverse learners and educational planning.
- Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with students, families, educators, administrators, and related service providers.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Coordinate and manage special education referrals, evaluations, eligibility determinations, and IEP processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable special education regulations, policies, and procedural requirements.
- Prepare, review, and maintain required documentation, including:
- Evaluation reports
- Eligibility determinations
- Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Notices of Meetings
- Prior Written Notices (PWNs)
- Other compliance-related documentation
- Schedule, facilitate, and document IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Monitor timelines and compliance requirements across assigned caseloads or programs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, evaluators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with organizational requirements.
- Complete required documentation and reporting activities as assigned.
- Apply current best practices, research, and policy updates to support high-quality special education programming.
- Provide guidance and support to case managers, paraeducators, teachers, and other staff regarding special education procedures and compliance requirements.
- Participate in problem-solving teams, eligibility reviews, and multidisciplinary discussions.
- Support implementation of special education initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
