Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily packaging operations, including line setup, workflow coordination, and changeovers to meet production schedules.
- Ensure all finished products meet internal quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate team members to maintain productivity, quality, and safety goals.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, perform basic maintenance, and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate production, inventory, and labor records.
- Collaborate with planning or supply chain functions to review schedules and improve efficiency.
- Review custom or specialized production jobs for accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency and waste reduction.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials.
- Provide supervisory coverage across different shifts, as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior operations leadership.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, with prior supervisory responsibility preferred.
- Ability to learn and operate packaging equipment and inventory systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively lead teams and collaborate across functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Mechanical aptitude; experience in converting processes or printing environments is a plus.
