We are seeking a Controller to oversee the financial operations, reporting, and accounting staff for a key business division. This role acts as a strategic partner to both Division Management and Corporate leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, contract integrity, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction-related accounting and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing cycles. Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, variance analyses, and WIP (Work-in-Progress) reports.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Oversee essential functions including payroll, accounts receivable/collections, accounts payable, and 401(k) compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of accounting experience. A mix of public and private accounting is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong background in construction accounting (WIP, certified payroll, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with construction-specific ERP software (e.g., Sage, eSub) is a plus.
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
