🔧 Hiring: Machine Programmer – CNC Machine

📍 Location: Huntsville, AL (35806)

🕒 Duration: 6 Month Contract (High potential for extension or conversion to full-time)

🕘 Shift:

• Primary: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Occasional: 1–2 times/month, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

About the Role

Join a highly skilled and dedicated team supporting advanced spaceflight systems. As a Machine Programmer – CNC Machine, you will play a critical role in developing and modifying NC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines. Your work will directly support the production of high-value, tight-tolerance components that contribute to human spaceflight missions.

This role requires precision, collaboration, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Develop NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis machines, and VTLs
• Translate engineering designs into effective machining strategies
• Create and manage setup sheets for production
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and machinists
• Design custom tools and fixtures as needed
• Provide DFM/DFMA feedback for improved manufacturability
• Drive process improvements across machining and workflows
• Ensure product acceptance meets required standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and configuration control
• Adhere to safety practices in an industrial environment

✅ Required Qualifications

• 4 years of NC programming experience
• Strong experience with Siemens NX (Unigraphics)
• Knowledge of Vericut or equivalent program verification tools
• Expertise in blueprint reading and GD&T (ASME Y14.5M-1994)
• Experience with tool/fixture design and setup sheet creation
• Skilled in cutter selection and feed/speed calculations
• Hands-on experience machining Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Understanding of DFMA principles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mastercam 2017 or newer
• Prior hands-on machinist experience
