Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside physical therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, dietitians, cognitive performance experts, and occupational therapists.
- Injury Management: Deliver prevention-focused care, acute injury management, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions.
- Performance Optimization: Implement strategies addressing the five H2F domains: physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, and spiritual.
- Unit Readiness: Support leadership with evidence-based strategies to reduce injuries, promote recovery, and enhance overall force resilience.
- Data Integration: Utilize tools developed by the Center for Initial Military Training (CIMT) to track and improve performance outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
- Certification: Passing score from the BOC for Athletic Trainers and a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Licensure: Unrestricted state license/registration/certification in any U.S. state or territory. (Candidates must be willing to obtain in-state licensure during the onboarding process).
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of relevant Athletic Training experience within the last three years. Experience with active populations (military, collegiate/professional sports, performing arts, or occupational health) is preferred.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Credentialing: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen; maintain current physical and immunization records.
This is a dynamic, on-site role in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to:
- Lift up to 45 pounds.
- Spend extended periods standing or moving in outdoor elements.
- Provide proactive, hands-on interaction with personnel during training and recovery.
