The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing all incoming resident referrals, coordinating the intake process, and ensuring that the sober living program meet eligibility requirements. This role serves as the first point of contact for treatment centers, hospitals, case managers, probation officers, and potential residents. The Admissions Coordinator helps ensure a smooth and supportive transition into the sober living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions & Intake
- Receive and respond to referrals from treatment centers, hospitals, courts, and community partners
- Conduct phone screenings with potential residents to determine eligibility
- Coordinate intake appointments and move-in dates
- Verify required documentation prior to admission
- Complete admission paperwork and resident files
- Maintain a waiting list when beds are full
Coordination & Communication
- Communicate with case managers, probation officers, and treatment providers regarding resident placement
- Provide clear information about program expectations, house rules, and fees
- Coordinate with the Program Director and House Manager regarding bed availability and placement decisions
- Ensure each resident receives an orientation upon move-in
Record Keeping & Compliance
- Maintain organized and confidential resident files
- Track admissions, discharges, and bed availability
- Ensure all documentation meets licensing and program requirements
- Keep accurate records for reporting and program oversight
Community Outreach
- Build relationships with treatment centers, hospitals, and referral sources
- Promote the sober living program to community partners
- Attend networking meetings or community recovery events when needed
Resident Support
- Help new residents transition into the home environment
- Ensure residents understand house guidelines, expectations, and recovery supports
- Direct residents to appropriate program staff when additional support is needed
Qualifications:
- Experience working in addiction recovery, behavioral health, social services, or case management preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Compassionate and supportive approach toward individuals in recovery
- Basic computer and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of recovery programs and sober living environments
- Experience with intake/admissions processes in treatment or housing programs
- Recovery experience is welcome but not required
